The first Elihu Parker to appear in the apprenticeship records of the Company of Cutlers was the son of Thomas (a cutler). He became a Freeman in 1734. Elihu’s son was also named Elihu. He was baptised at Upper Chapel on 24 December 1741; and became a Freeman in 1763. Elihu Sen. had another son, Samuel, who became a Freeman in 1777 (possibly the Samuel listed in 1787 making table knives at Scotland Street, trade mark ‘YTHEL’).
