Benjamin Elliott (born c.1809) was a file manufacturer, who by 1851 was based in Rockingham Street. He employed three men and three boys. In the early 1860s, he was based at Foundation Works, Rockingham Lane, where he marketed table and spring knife cutlery. He died in Heeley on 26 October 1871, aged 62, after ‘a long and painful illness’. He was buried in Christ’s churchyard, Heeley. ....
