Tordoff, Gibbet Street, Halifax.According to an advertisement in the Halifax Daily Courier and Guardian, 18 Dec 1934, the shop sold "carpets, rugs, linos, cutlery, glass and china".The shop was owned by Joshua Tordoff (1876 - 1931), who was born in Halifax, the son of Dixon Tordoff (a dyer) and Mary Anne, his wife.
