Sheffield Shears Company Ltd
This firm was registered in 1918 (capital £3,000) by Frank Smith, Fred Smith, and William Sykes at Bower Spring Works. It manufactured hand-forged scissors and shears, besides ‘knives and cutlery of every description’. By 1925, the manager and director was Ernest Day (1880-1956), who was also the owner of W. J.
