Barclay Bros
In the Company of Cutlers’ Register of Marks (1919, 1953) ‘BARCLAY BROTHERS, SHEFFIELD’ was listed as a trade mark owned by Needham Brothers Ltd, spring knife and electro-plate manufacturers. So presumably this stainless table knife was made by Needham Bros. However, this leaves a mystery: the identity of Barclay Bros. That name did not appear in Sheffield directories. One explanation is that it derived from the Barclay brothers, who were associated with The Hallamshire Silversmiths....
