According to one report, this cutler employed 136 setters-in; and sent goods to America (Sheffield Independent, 21 November 1835). He advertised in the Sheffield directory of 1839, using an ornate coat of arms and ‘Dieu et Mon Droit’ motto. George Rodgers offered pocket, folding, erasing, desk, lock, sneck, dagger knives; also a full range of best-quality razors, and table knives, and scissors.
