The partners were Edwin Arthur Roberts (1835-1907) and Henry George Roberts (1839-1915). They were the sons of John Roberts. By 1868, the Roberts’ brothers had formed a partnership at Walkley & Orion Works, North Street, as manufacturers of fancy goods in ivory, including fruit knives. The enterprise apparently did not survive the early 1870s. Henry George Roberts became a traveller; and his brother Edwin becomes elusive in the Census and directories between about 1881 and the early 1900s.&n....
