Joseph Lomas
Lomas was listed in 1856 as a merchant and table knife, file, and steel manufacturer in Solly Street; the owner resided in Brookhill. (Walker & Lomas, Victoria Street, listed in 1854 may be a forerunner.) In 1860, Lomas advertised a range of products that included butchers’, cooks’, and palette knives.
